We’re excited to be featured once again at Microsoft Ignite, marking our third Microsoft conference feature. As part of the Microsoft Fabric GA announcement, we are offering users preview access to Delphix Compliance Services for Microsoft Fabric.
Last year at Ignite, Delphix was announced as one of twelve Microsoft Intelligent Data Platform (MIDP) ecosystem partners, underscoring our strong technical relationship. Our announcement coincided with our first product release for allowing our mutual users to find and mask sensitive data within Microsoft Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Pipelines.
Since then, we’ve been collaborating closely with Microsoft’s product and engineering teams to create an easy and organic path to data compliance in Azure ETL data flows, and to bring that solution to Microsoft Fabric.
Microsoft featured Delphix during the Fabric preview announcement at Microsoft Build. Together with the Microsoft Product Management team, Delphix showcased our multicloud compliance SaaS solution with an end-to-end demo for Fabric Data Factory. Since then, customers and partners conveyed a lot of interest and feedback in this joint solution.
As our relationship has advanced, we're thrilled to be announcing new product developments along with our Microsoft Ignite conference feature. With Microsoft’s GA announcement of Fabric, we're launching beta functionality that empowers users to discover and mask sensitive data. This will make it much easier for users to implement data compliance for analytics use cases, requiring little knowledge of how to identify sensitive data or which masking algorithms are best.
As Microsoft Fabric lets you manage your data in one unified place with a suite of experiences designed to work together seamlessly (whether that’s for data engineering or business intelligence), Delphix ensures that your data can still work together seamlessly, even when those data are masked. Delphix does this by preserving the referential integrity of masked data across all Fabric data sources. Data relationships are maintained, so for example, “David Smith” is changed to “Allan Jones” consistently across all related, masked data sets (whether those are on-prem or in the cloud). As a result, multicloud data analytics continue to work, while sensitive data is protected.
Microsoft Fabric's vision is to transform data into a competitive edge—a philosophy closely aligned with Delphix's mission. By streamlining compliant data movement in Microsoft Fabric, we are mitigating sensitive data risks and unblocking innovation. Delphix is pioneering democratized, safe data access and propelling business insights.
“We’re collaborating with Microsoft to bring our multicloud data compliance and masking solution to Microsoft Fabric,” remarked Delphix CEO Jedidah Yueh. “Together we dramatically de-risk the cloud while accelerating the path from data to transformation.”
“The Delphix team collaborated closely with the Data Factory team to bring data masking, data compliance and data integration capabilities together,” said Wee Hyong Tok, Partner Director of Product at Microsoft. “Delphix’s quick turnaround from ideation to product allows us all to quickly provide the functionality our Fabric customers request: safe and fast access to data within a highly integrated enterprise data estate.”
In developing our solution, our Product and Engineering teams adhered closely to Microsoft Fabric’s design principles, striving to facilitate the quickest routes to value. Users should be able to focus on where they’re driving value, without being blocked by configuration or infrastructure management. By providing a SaaS offering that automatically discovers sensitive data and chooses the right masking algorithms, we’ve eliminated complexity while ensuring compliance with regulations like GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
