Molina CIO Rick Hopfer to receive award celebrating his use of Delphix at CIO 100 Symposium
Menlo Park, CA -- June 4, 2014 - Delphix, the leading provider of agile data solutions, today announced that customer, Molina Healthcare, has been named by IDG's CIO magazine as one of the 2014 CIO 100. Given for 27 years, this award program recognizes organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology.
Following significant change within the U.S. healthcare industry, Molina Healthcare was faced with great opportunities for growth. However, the organization's applications and development needed to support that growth, which had the potential to become weighed down as 1.9 petabytes of data expanded to over 3 petabytes. Molina CIO Rick Hopfer turned to the Delphix Agile Data Platform to neutralize data growth, make data management lightweight, and enable rapid application development and feature releases to support business growth.
"For 27 years now, the CIO 100 awards have honored the innovative use of technology to deliver genuine business value," said Maryfran Johnson, Editor in Chief of CIO magazine & Events. "Our 2014 winners are an outstanding example of the transformative power of IT to drive everything from revenue growth to competitive advantage."
"Since streamlining database provisioning with Delphix, Molina has seen improved application development, simplified IT operations and infrastructure, and simplified IT architecture," said Rick Caccia, VP of Strategy and Marketing at Delphix. "These improvements have allowed Molina to seamlessly address the necessary changes to regulatory compliance while controlling data management costs, and we're honored to work with Rick's team to ensure that Molina is able to unlock their data for even more agile growth."
Executives from the winning companies will be recognized at the CIO 100 Symposium & Awards Ceremony, to be held Tuesday evening, Aug. 19 at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
About the CIO 100
Recipients of this year's CIO 100 Award were selected through a three-step process. First, companies filled out an online application form detailing their innovative IT and business initiatives. Next, a team of external judges (many of them former CIOs) reviewed the applications in depth, looking for leading-edge IT practices and measurable results. Finally,CIO editors reviewed the judges' recommendations and selected the final 100.
Coverage of the 2014 CIO 100 Awards will be available online at CIO.com on August 1, 2014 and in the August 1st issue of CIO magazine.
