  • CONNECT

    To link to a production database, the user specifies a staging server that has shared access to a backup with production. This staging host’s instances will be made directly accessible to Delphix via NFS mount.

  • SYNCHRONIZE

    Delphix takes periodic, compressed snapshots via ZFS that are used as the underlying data to service virtual copies. As production data changes, Delphix ingests ASE transaction logs to maintain a continuous data timeline.

  • COPY

    From collected data files and logs, Delphix creates point-in-time copies, sharing common data across all copies. Data files of virtual copies are made accessible via shared NFS mount points. Optionally, Delphix can identify and mask any sensitive data values.

  • USE

    Fully-independent, virtual database copies function like regular physical databases and can be provisioned for development, testing, production support, analytics, reporting, or other use cases.
